School start times in Greenfield Wisconsin must change.  Here are the facts:

1.     Greenfield High School starts at 7:10 am - earlier than any public high school in Wisconsin.

2.     First bus pick up is 6:20 am.

3.     Research has also shown that a lack of sleep can negatively impact the health, wellness, safety, and academic performance of adolescents. 

4.     In January 2010 the Greenfield Board of Health unanimously approved a letter to the Board of Education urging them to recognize the research on this issue.

5.     A later start time at Greenfield High School will result in positive outcomes.  Later start times have worked in other communities. Click here to view Minnesota study.
